Circadian Sleep Disorders Association

Morning is relative.
Ouch.
Are you a "night person," someone who doesn't feel sleepy when the rest of the world does, and who has trouble waking at a so-called "normal" hour? Or are you a lark, someone who nods off early while all of your friends are still rarin' to go, but wakes up bright-eyed and chipper at the crack of dawn the next morning? Or maybe your schedule is less predictable and seems to rotate around the clock -- for a while, you're a night person, and later you're not?

If you're nodding your head at the familiarity of any of these descriptions, you may have a circadian disorder. Circadian sleep disorders affect your body clock and keep you from sleeping and waking at the culturally "normal" times.

The Circadian Sleep Disorders Association exists to support those affected by circadian sleep disorders, and to provide information on the disorders to the general public.

Niteowl E-mail List

If you have a circadian sleep disorder, are friends or family with someone who does, are a researcher or medical worker in the field, or simply find circadian sleep disorders interesting, you are welcome to join our e-mail list, Niteowl. The primary purpose of the list is to provide support to each other, and we do ask that all subscribers respect that purpose.

If you would like to receive the e-mail list directly in your mailbox, please subscribe by going to http://circadiandisorders.org/list and filling out the subscription form there.

If you would prefer to read the list on the web instead, you may do that by joining the list via Yahoo Groups, at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/nite-owl. Then you can read the online list archive. However, you won't be able to post unless you join the list at circadiandisorders.org.
